ROCKET the Ribbon Master!

On August 9th 2026 I decided to take on the Ribbon Master journey, inspired by the YouTuber SirToastyToes and fueled by the imminent shutdown of Pokémon Bank on February 26th 2027.This carrd will act as an album for all my ribbon related shenanigans, including not only all the screenshots I got as I took on this challenge, but also some occasional notes and trivia!Hope you enjoy!
COLOSSEUM/GALE OF DARKNESS

ROCKET was first caught in Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness as a Shadow Pokémon, where he obtained his first ribbon for being purified, the National Ribbon!

ROCKET was then carried up Mt. Battle's 100-battle challenge in Pokémon Colosseum, obtaining the Earth Ribbon!
EMERALD

ROCKET obtained the Effort Ribbon, being given to her as a reward for EV training!
NOTE: We didn't actually put much effort into boosting her stats, as we knew as a first stage Pokémon she probably wouldn't be very strong anyways, so it was just a matter of time until she reached max EVs by battling wild Pokémon.

ROCKET participated in the Hoenn Pokémon Contests, obtaining all 20 ribbons in all categories (Cool, Beauty, Cute, Smart, Tough) and every rank (Normal, Super, Hyper, Master)!
NOTE: This was one of the most nerve-wracking parts of the challenge, as not only are the contests very time consuming, but R/S/E's Pokéblocks mechanic is surprisingly hard to use, as choosing the wrong Pokéblocks can make it near impossible to get every ribbon.
As ROCKET cleared the Master Rank contests, she also obtained the Artist Ribbon!

ROCKET became the Hoenn Champion, getting the Champion Ribbon!

Finally, ROCKET took on Hoenn's Battle Tower, where she obtained both the Winning Ribbon for the LV.50 challenge and the Victory Ribbon for the OPEN LV. challenge!
NOTE: ROCKET was helped by a Latias and Latios, which we nicknamed JESSE and JAMES!

ROCKET finished her Hoenn adventure with 27 ribbons!
PLATINUM

By talking to someone every day, ROCKET obtained 7 (Alert, Shock, Downcast, Careless, Relax, Snooze) ribbons!
NOTE: While I could've spent a whole week on this ribbon, I opted for simply changing the games' clock.

ROCKET became the Sinnoh Champion, getting the Sinnoh Champion Ribbon!
NOTE: The shiny Infernape seen here is my childhood starter MACACO, who's been with me since 2012!

Once again ROCKET participated in the Pokémon Contests, gaining another 20 ribbons in all categories (Cool, Beauty, Cute, Smart, Tough) and every rank (Normal, Super, Hyper, Master)!
NOTE: Not only were Sinnoh's contests much easier than Hoenn's, they were also way more fun to play! Luckily, we got to skip the use of Poffins as we already did so for Hoenn's contests.

ROCKET visited the Ribbon Syndicate, where she snagged 3 new Syndicate Ribbons (Gorgeous, Royal and Gorgeous Royal)!
NOTE: Each ribbon costs 10,000, 100,000 and 999,999 respectively, which sounds like a lot, but only required a quick grind with the VS. Seeker. The screenshot for the Royal Ribbon is missing, although it was easily obtained while grinding for the Gorgeous Royal Ribbon.

ROCKET was judged by Mr. Footprint, obtaining the Footprint Ribbon!

ROCKET headed to the Battle Frontier, where she reached a 50-win streak, receiving the Ability Ribbon and Great Ability Ribbon!
NOTE: ROCKET was once again carried by JESSE and JAMES the Latias and Latios, alongside MACACO the Infernape and a Zapdos traded from my friend MILES!

ROCKET then took on the Battle Tower Double challenge, where she once again obtained a 50-win streak and obtained the Double Ability Ribbon!
NOTE: We mostly used the same Pokémon as the previous ribbons, with some extra help by SOLDIER, Miles' Porygon!

ROCKET headed to the Battle Tower Multi Challenge, where she achieved another streak and obtained the Multi Ability Ribbon!
NOTE: In this game mode you're supposed to team up with an NPC in order to beat a another 50-win streak. Unfortunately, the only NPC we had access to was Cheryl, but despite some initial frustration, she actually wasn't too much trouble!

ROCKET completed the Battle Tower Link Multi challenge, obtaining the Pair Ability Ribbon!
NOTE: Fortunately, there's quite a few ways to emulate a DS link connection, allowing us to play alongside ourselves and turn this ribbon into a slightly harder doubles challenge.

ROCKET met up with other fellow Ribbon Masters, leaving with the World Ability Ribbon!
NOTE: I assumed I wouldn't be able to get this ribbon, as the official servers had been closed years ago, but with some help from the Poké Classic Network and SirToastyToes' "Gaslight, Gatekeep, Girlboss" strategy, this once challenging ribbon was turned into a meeting place for fellow Ribbon Masters, ending our Sinnoh journey on a high note!
HEARTGOLD

ROCKET visited Johto, where she fought the legendary Red, obtaining the Legend Ribbon!

ROCKET finished her Sinnoh and Johto adventures with 66 ribbons!
NOTE: This also means ROCKET has officially finished the DS era of Pokémon, as generation 5 doesn't have any ribbons!
Y

As ROCKET made it to Kalos, she noticed her ribbons had been condensed into the Contest Memory Ribbon and Battle Memory Ribbon!
NOTE: Since ROCKET had taken on all Pokémon Contests and Battle Towers, these new ribbons have a golden look! If even a single ribbon was missing, it would've defaulted to a blue plaque instead.

ROCKET was given plenty of PokéPuffs, her affection for her trainer earning her the Best Friends Ribbon!
NOTE: A relatively easy ribbon. It was very fun to mess around with the Pokémon Amie feature, something that I normally skip in the average playthrough.

ROCKET decided to get fit, and for her training efforts, she was given the Training Ribbon!
NOTE: I had actually never used the Super Training feature before taking on this challenge! I The bonus minigames introduced in generation 6 are surprisingly underrated.

ROCKET took on the Kalos Elite Four, once again becoming champion and earning the Kalos Champion Ribbon!

ROCKET took on the Battle Maison, earning the Skillful Battler and Expert Battler Ribbons!
NOTE: Another battle facility made possible with the help from not only the previous team (Latios, Latias and Zapdos), but also Yonder the Azumarill, which was obtained during the first playthrough!
ROCKET finished her Kalos and Johto adventures with 73 ribbons obtained!
ALPHA SAPPHIRE
NOTE: Before we were able to properly return to Hoenn, we had to complete the entirety of the "Delta Episode" storyline, which paired with the already time consuming Pokémon Contests, made this region extremely tiring to return to...
